our Story

Deb's Catering has been providing homemade, delicious meals to the area for over 30 years. With a passion for cooking, their daughter Tiffany joined the family business full-time in 2018. During her time working for Deb's Catering, a strong friendship grew between her and her manager Tiffany Dunaway, who was fighting cancer for the second time. When an illness came through the Dunaway home, Tiffany stayed with “the Other Tiffany” until it was okay for her to be back with her family. One of the nights away was a Meal Train delivery for Tiffany and that’s how The Giving Plate idea was created.

A Tribute to Tiffany

Tiffany Dunaway passed away after an eight-year battle with cancer in 2022. Without her, the Giving Plate wouldn’t exist. She had a giving heart that she put into use with everything from her family to the community, and to the Giving Plate and Deb’s Catering. She’s someone that truly made a difference with her time on earth. We miss her every day. But we know her giving heart is still with us, inspiring us, and driving our mission forward.
